Whether your team needs extra capacity during a busy period or coverage for a (maternity) leave, our interim model offers you this flexibility. Dazzle freelancers can step in for as little as a few days a week for a few months, providing specialized expertise exactly when and where it’s needed—without the burden of long-term commitments.
This model gives your business the opportunity to scale resources efficiently, maintain operational continuity, and handle peak demands cost-effectively.
It’s a practical, results-driven solution to keep your projects on track and your team supported.
Challenge
USPA is an industry-leading clothing brand that is officially part of the United States Polo Association. Earlier this year, USPA’s sustainability director, Jessica Lenhart, was going on maternity leave. And inevitably, this left a significant gap in their sustainability team.
USPA needed a senior-level sustainability expert to step in quickly and seamlessly, with minimal disruption. So they reached out to Dazzle for support in finding an experienced interim sustainability manager.
Solution
In just two weeks, from request to final match, Dazzle connected USPA with Patricia, an ex-PwC senior sustainability consultant with over 17 years of experience. As Patricia also had relevant experience working with other clothing/apparel brands, she really was an ideal match here.
In collaboration with USPA’s VP, the onboarding process went very smoothly. With a well-organized handover from Jessica, Patricia was able to quickly integrate and begin work.
Outcome
During her time with USPA, Patricia provided strategic sustainability oversight, and ensured that projects stayed on track during the maternity leave period.
USPA was delighted with the whole process, and according to Jessica: “Dazzle made finding an expert sustainability freelancer to provide maternity leave coverage seamless. From start to finish, they made sure everything was taken care of, and our freelancer was everything we had hoped for. Everyone throughout the process was professional, organized, and wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend Dazzle for anyone looking for a sustainability freelancer.”
Project-based collaborations are ideal for your organization when you are seeking specialized support for a defined challenge or goal.
We approach project-based collaborations with a clear end goal in mind, and reverse-engineer a project plan in order to achieve this goal. This provides the flexibility to work with a skilled sustainability professional for a set period, ensuring a focused and efficient approach without the long-term commitment of hiring (full-time) staff. You simply hire staff on-demand, only for the time needed.
Your company can tap into Dazzle’s community of sustainability freelancers to solve challenges that require specialized knowledge, or to meet critical deadlines.
Challenge
In preparation for FY2025-related CSRD actions, Nedspice Group was aiming to conduct a Double Materiality Analysis (DMA) in alignment with the CSRD’s ESRS-1 requirements.
Solution
Nedspice Group required a CSRD freelancer to assist them with this, so they reached out to Dazzle.
Within a few days, we matched the client with CSRD expert Chi, who was an ideal match in terms of both languages and expertise.
Outcome
After 3 months of collaboration, the project DMA was delivered, and the client’s CSRD worries were no more.
Nedspice Group’s sustainability manager, Renée van den Elsen, found the whole process very valuable: ‘’We had a great experience working with freelancer, Chi.
She brought a wealth of knowledge on the sustainable regulatory landscape (CSRD) and guided us perfectly through our Double Materiality Assessment. The feedback she gave on our current sustainability strategy was very valuable, concise, and practical. Overall, we would highly recommend Chi to any organization trying to enhance their sustainability strategy.
A big thanks to Dazzle for the perfect matchmaking.’’
